NBA Draft 2012: Mike Moser to return to UNLV for junior season

UNLV star forward Mike Moser on Sunday announced that he will put his NBA dreams on hold and return to school for his junior season.

?I went through the process, talked with my mom, my AAU coach, and coach (Dave) Rice and the staff at UNLV,? Moser said in a statement. ?We looked at all of my options, and in the end I decided it would be best for me to stay in school. We have a great team coming back and a great fan base. I believe in our program and I love playing in Las Vegas and for UNLV.

?Two big factors were also for my mom to see me graduate and to have a chance to win a national championship. I know I can improve and am looking forward to putting in the necessary hard work.?

Moser (6-8, 210) transferred in from UCLA after the 2009-10 season and then averaged 14 points and 10.5 rebounds this season, his first with the Runnin' Rebels. He led UNLV to a 26-9 record, a top-25 ranking and into the NCAA Tournament.

?We are excited that Mike will be returning to UNLV for the coming season,? Rice said. ?His success put him in position to have to make a difficult decision. Like Mike, we are all committed to working extremely hard in the offseason to build upon a very good year. He was a big part of helping us win 26 games and being ranked the last 13 weeks. We are very confident in Mike, his returning teammates and our incoming players.?
